[How To] Packing Your Beauty Products for Holiday Trip

Hello darling ~

When it comes to packing for holiday trip, the biggest questions will be "What should I bring ?" or "Are these enough ?". Sadly, you cant bring every makeup, skin care and hair care products from your home along with you and the airport regulations are just making matter worse.

Sharing with you a few simple steps that will (hopefully) make packing your beauty bag easiler.

Step 1 : 3 - 1 -1

Airport regulations allow "3 - 1 - 1" rule for handcarry bags.

So, what does "3 - 1 - 1" means?

3 ounce bottles or less
1 quart sized, clear, plastic, zip top bag to hold the bottles
1 bag per passenge to placed in the security bin.

Any larger bottles of liquid, you must have them placed in  your checked in baggages.

Step 2 : Destination

It is very important to put into consideration on your destintion.

Are you heading to a tropical country?

If so, select products that can withstand the heat and humidity. You probably can do without heavy foundations and rich creams or lotions.

If you need to attend any parties or formal events during your trip, make sure to bring along your evening makeup - darker eye shadows and lip shades with a bit of shimmer.

Step 3 : 2 in 1 Products

To save space, bring as many 2-in-1 (or 3-in-1) products as you can.

With so many choices of cosmetics in the market now, you can use one product for your eyes, lips and cheeks.

For bath and body, you can also consider a shower gel that also doubles up as shampoo. Or you could just forgo the hair care products and use those supplied by the hotel.

Step 4 : Samples

Take advantage of samples.

You could get them from the local department store for free or you could purchase trial size samples from SaSa and Gmarket.

These small containers and sample packs will take up very little space in your bag.

Step 5 : Slip into your Shoes

For breakable bottles of perfume and/or other makeup products, have them placed inside socks/kitchen towles and put them inside your shoes in your suitcase.

There are alot of people who tend to overlook that extra space inside the shoes when it comes to packing.

Step 6 : Traincase

If you really need to bring along alot of makeup products, you might really conside getting a metal traincase to hold all your essentials.

Make a checklist that includes :

  • foundation
  • concealer
  • powder
  • eye shadow
  • palette
  • mascara
  • eyeliner
  • blush
  • 2 lip colors

It is important to plan ahead and pack smart when traveling.
